It seems everyone is battling a bad cough or strep throat these days. I’ve had a green smoothie or green juice every day for the past 5 years so these viruses struggle when it comes to attacking my system! When you are consistently taking in powerful nutrients all day, there’s little to no room for the bad guys! I’m walking to my meetings with a kale, parsley, lemon, ginger, apple and almond milk smoothie. There’s no wrong way to make a smoothie but try to use more greens/boosts (at least 80%) than fruit (20%). When I say boosts i’m referring to things like ginger, lemon, chia seeds, flax seeds, chlorophyll, aloe vera, spirulina, etc. No dairy, if possible. Use almond milk, water or coconut water! Rotate your greens often (Swiss chard, kale, spinach, collards, parsley, romaine, etc) so your body is receiving a variety of essential goodies, daily. And adding fresh lemon to your juice or smoothie will ensure the greens are penetrating your system as needed! Which nutrients did you pump and arm your body with today? Stay healthy! ♥
